(b) Philosophy of the programme:
The B.Sc. Degree Honours in Anatomy like many other degree options in the faculty of Basic Medical Sciences is a four year programme designed to teach the fundamentals of Anatomy as an integral part of the “Life science” having special emphasis on the “Normal and abnormalities in humans”.
(c) Objectives of the programme
In line with the NUC minimum standards, the objectives of the undergraduate curriculum in Anatomy are:
- To produce graduates of high academic standard with adequate practical background of immediate value of Research and Medical education.
- To produce graduates who would be able to teach anatomy to Medical, Dental, Nursing, Physiotherapy and students of other related disciplines.
iii. To produce students who will be able to acquire competence in handling of basic laboratory equipment.
iv. To promote Anatomy as a subject through research in which solid academic background will be provided to build on more advance degree in Anatomy. (M.Sc., Ph.D)
